Making the Right Choice, Always!
The village of Arawade~ the witness of the glorious childhood pastimes of Gurumaharaj, this time witnessed another sweet yet inspirational pastime! Gurumaharaj had fields of Groundnuts. It is that time of the year when groundnuts were ready to sell in the market. This pastime dates back to the time when Gurumaharaj was in class 7, his Mother told him, “ bring some peanut-sized stones”.
Maharaj being an obedient child didn’t enquire rather he went and brought some stones similar to the size of groundnut and gave them to his mother.
As a common practice in villages mothers started mixing stones in the peanut so as to earn profit. Astonished by seeing this Gurumaharaj started enquiring in an innocent way – “Mother why are you doing this?”
to which his father replied – “When we add these stones in the groundnut sacks, the weight of the sack increases, and then we can sell them and earn more profit.
As soon as Guru Maharaj heard this, he threw all the stones he had gathered. And said "Stop!
This is not right, If we’ll do like this then people will get to know and they will catch us bringing us trouble and a bad name in society. Maharaj finally convinced his father and mother to which they happily agreed.
