In the May of 1988, Gurumaharaj’s father got hospitalised, he used to think a lot about Guru Maharaj and he kept saying "Maharaj, Maharaj Maharaj" referring to Gurumaharaj. I want to say something to Maharaj, I want to say”

Gurumaharaj at that time was in Delhi, and being busy with the services of the temple couldn't go.  His father passed away on 17th May 1988. 

Due lot of services Gurumaharaj couldn’t go to the funeral. Everyone at home was sad as Maharaj didn’t come for the funeral.

Gurumaharaj continued his service in Noida and did the funeral formalities on the telephone but his love wasn't just limited to this, after completing his services at Noida he went to Arawade, his village and from the start of his village to his home, he went doing Kirtan for his father, carrying out the duty as a loving son.

Shrirang Chavan was a relative of  Gurumaharaj from Mumbai who came to inspire him and convinced him to rejoin and complete his studies. When Gurumaharaj went to Mumbai he started living in the community of workers of Kohinoor Mill, Dadar in a room given to him for his studies. Once a grihastha disciple happened to converse with a Panda (Pujari) in Jagannath temple in Puri.  The Panda was narrating how Lord mercifully even today speaks and performs pastimes with certain devotees on this planet and one such person who is the senior most pujari of the temple, was narrating that in Iskcon there is one Lokanath Swami with whom Jagganath speaks!

When Gurumaharaj took sannyas he wrote a letter to his family that now I have took sannyasa and I want one more person from our family to join me, so HG Sita Mataji, Gurumaharaj’s sister took her son, who was 5-6 years old to Juhu temple.  Gurumaharaj to pick her up went to Vile Parle which is far from the temple so Gurumaharaj took the boy on his back from Vile Parle to Juhu temple on foot only to not waste Srila Prabhupāda’s money.
